Five Dice Poker: The Rules, Step by Step
Five Dice Poker is a dice game played over several turns: after the opening throw, each turn lets you pick certain dice to roll again, or you select "Skip" and keep the combination you already have. 1xBet's 1xGames lobby in Morocco includes it.
Before a game, a banner asks you to select "Place a bet" to start it, and the big green PLACE A BET button waits at the bottom of the panel, below six buttons marked with figures.
How the hands rank
Here is the order, strongest first:
Hand | Dice needed | Example |
|---|---|---|
Poker | five dice with the same value | 3, 3, 3, 3, 3 |
Four of a Kind | four dice with the same value | 4, 4, 4, 4 |
Full House | a Set and a Pair | 3, 3, 3, 4, 4 |
Big Straight | a run from 2 to 6 | 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 |
Small Straight | a run from 1 to 5 | 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 |
Set | three dice with the same value | 5, 5, 5 |
Two Pair | two pairs of matching dice | 5, 5 and 2, 2 |
Pair | two dice with the same value | 2, 2 |
Whichever hand stands higher in this list than the opponent's wins, and the stake is then multiplied by 2.
Separating two equal hands
When both sides show the same combination, the sum of the numbers inside it settles things first. Should those sums match, the total on all the dice decides. With Two Pair against Two Pair, for instance, 5, 5 and 2, 2 add up to 14, which beats the 10 of 4, 4 and 1, 1.

Five Dice Poker: quick answers
Which dice are in play on the very first roll?
All five: the first turn throws every die.
Can the sum inside the combination separate two Small Straights?
No: each is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, so both add up to 15.
What if the two hands tie on the combination, on the sum within it and on the dice total?
Then it is a draw, with your stake handed back.
