A hand from deal to stand
The stake is chosen before the game starts. You and the dealer then receive a pair of cards each, and the next move is yours: draw more cards or press Stand at the moment you decide to stop.
Below 17 points the dealer keeps drawing; from 17 upward the dealer stands. The exception is a two-card 21 on your side with no 21 in the dealer's first two cards: your hand wins, and the dealer may not draw a single card.
What a hand pays
End on 21, or on a lower total that still tops the dealer's, and the bet is paid at odds of x2. A draw, known as a push, brings a refund of the stake, while a total above 21 is a bust and loses the game.
