MPBL Live: Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Scores and Odds

The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League, known as the MPBL, is a nationwide professional men's basketball league in the Philippines, run by the MPBL itself. The 2026 season fields 28 teams split between a North and a South division. The regular calendar opened on 10 April 2026, the postseason runs through the autumn, and the national title is settled in December.

One structural point shapes everything else on the table: the MPBL has no promotion or relegation with any other Philippine league. Where a club finishes decides whether it reaches the playoffs, nothing beyond that.

The MPBL championship

A single round robin and a playoff series reward different reading. Across the regular season a team meets each opponent once, so recent form and travel carry real weight, and a single flat night can cost a seeding place. In a series the same two rosters meet repeatedly within days: coaching adjustments become visible from game to game, rotations tighten, and scoring totals often drift down as each defence learns the other's sets.

What this page shows on a game night

Fixtures in progress carry the score, the quarter and the time left, alongside prices that update while play continues. The header of each fixture names the period, enough to read the state of a game before opening its full market list. Inside a fixture you see the markets still tradable at that moment; outcomes that have drifted out of reach close as the clock runs down. When no MPBL game is under way the list stays empty until the next scheduled night. To widen the view, live basketball gathers every competition playing at the same hour, and all basketball competitions hold the fixtures still to come.

Margin, fouls and possessions

Live basketball pricing tracks the margin on the scoreboard, the quarter and the time remaining. An eight-point gap in the second quarter and the same gap with two minutes left are different situations: late in a game the number of possessions still available becomes the ceiling on any comeback, and prices reflect that ceiling rather than the raw score.

Team fouls drive the closing minutes. Once a side passes its allowance for the period, every further foul sends the opponent to the free-throw line. Play stops and restarts, the real duration of the fourth quarter stretches, and totals climb. Deliberate fouling works on the same mechanism from the other side: a trailing team stops the clock to win the ball back, and points accumulate while the displayed time barely moves.

Individual foul counts matter too. A key big man sitting on four fouls loses minutes, which changes rim protection and offensive rebounding for the rest of the night. On a tight handicap that detail often carries as much weight as the margin itself.

The weekly rhythm

Philippines. MPBL 2026 - close-up of a basketball

The 2026 plan places games on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, at roughly twelve fixtures a week. No single tip-off slot applies across the league; the opening slate used 17:00 and 19:00 among others, in Philippine time. Exact start times sit in the fixture list itself.

At that volume games overlap almost every playing day. The live page lines them up side by side, so a one-possession finish can be followed while another fixture is only opening its third quarter.

Rotations and how a period opens

Quarter markets react faster than full-game lines because twelve minutes leave far less room for correction than forty-eight. A side resting starters at the top of the third can concede a run that says little about the final result yet fully reprices that period taken alone.

Before following a night of games

Opening an account unlocks live prices and the detail of fixtures already played. From the main page, the in-play section collects the other sports running at the same hour, which helps when the Philippine calendar leaves a gap in the evening.

MPBL — frequently asked questions

How many teams play in the MPBL in 2026?

Twenty-eight teams take part, divided between the North and South divisions. Each of them faces all 27 rivals once during the regular season.

How is the MPBL champion decided?

The top eight teams in each division reach the postseason. Division finals are played as a best-of-five series, and the two winners then meet in a best-of-seven national final.

Which days does the MPBL play?

The 2026 schedule uses Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, at about twelve games per week. Start times differ from fixture to fixture.

Does the MPBL have promotion and relegation?

No. The league shares no promotion or relegation mechanism with another national competition in the Philippines, so the standings serve only to decide playoff qualification.

Where can I find odds for an MPBL game already under way?

Games in progress appear in the live basketball section together with the score, the current quarter and the markets still open. Between scheduled nights that list is empty.
